CHAS Hat Knitting

CHAS is the Children's Hospital Aide Society, and they give away hats at Easter time to the kids visiting the hospital for treatments.
Luckily for them and for me I have a bunch of yarn I purchased with good intentions, but then alas things happen and I ended up with a fair amount of yarn that I cannot remember what it was destined for. So here you have it, the CHAS Hat Knitting journey begins.

I do not really have an end goal of how many I plan to knit, I just want to see:
a) How much yarn I can use up
b) How many nifty hats I can come up with
c) Enjoy the process of each hat
d) Know, or have some comfort, that these hats are going to go to kids that appreciate them, and will hopefully enjoy wearing them
e) I knit them on the treadmill these days, so I am getting 2 things done at once, and they keep me on the treadmill for longer

Wish me luck, and I hope that I create some amazing hats!

***Update - I am at 75 hats February 28, 2018.

***Update - I am at 60 hats February 20, 2018, I also bought another 6 skeins of yarn for these, so I guess I am still knitting them for the foreseeable future.

***Update - I am at 50 hats...as of January 3, 2018, and the committee is looking for 200...not from just me knitting though so that is good.

***Update - so far from April 2017 to now I am up to 40 hats, I have no also started buying yarn for this project, but I can get about 3 or 4 hats out of a 200 gram skein of yarn, which is awesome!

***Update from November of 2016 - February 2016 I knit around 40 hats
