Goals of 2019

Remarkably these look similar to my 2018 goals, but I do have a few modifications, and I think I need to make my goals more specific so that I am not just floating in indecision. 

• Knit 1 project a month, preferably, finish a languishing WIP
• Hue Shift Afghan
• Lestrange Cardigan
• Illuminated Lines Blanket
• Tardis Blanket
• Circlet Cardigan
• Read 1 book a month, preferably, finish a book you started eons ago
• Finish some art projects!!!
• Make photo collages for posting on the blog, this should make them nicer, and make my blog look like I put more effort into it  
• Become the fit fabulous Amazonian you know is lying in wait in there
• Need to do weights more than just at the gym
• Build a system of what parts of the body you are working on what days, and stick to those days
• 5 excercises to do on each of those days
• 20 squats every day
• Burn 600-1000 calories every day 
• 15,000 to 25,000 steps every day
• I see the most difference in my weight when I get to 22,000 a day
• Get body fat down to 30%

December 2018

Well December, it has been a blast. I finished about 10 charity hats, and 1 pair of socks, and I accept that.
I am getting oh so very close on the hue shift afghan. I have 8 squares to go, and then I can attach the border and it will be finished and I will be oh so happy.
Other than that not much to report. It has been a fairly uneventful year, but it has come to a close. So here we go onto the next year!

• I really want to say that I finished this, but I did not. 
• I soon will have 5 sleeves for this sweater not just 2 or even 3. The first one was too short, the second too are not wide enough to go around the tops of my arms, and as much as I want to just be able to fix them as they are now, that will make me unhappy. So I shall get there, but it will take me longer
• The sweater as it stands now, a sleeveless one is gorgeous and I would for sure wear it with no sleeves, but

October 2018

The snow is now on the ground, and as part of a promise to myself and to others I am trying to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, every night to see if that changes my life.
As a result this greatly cuts into my knitting time.....who knows really it it will change anything at all...but here we go.
That goal of sleeping 7 plus hours a night is not going well I think I am getting less now than I was before. C'est la vie. I tried. I probably should keep trying.
I was also tracking skeins of yarn in vs yarn out in a spreadsheet, and then using another spreadsheet to track projects started finished and the amount of yarn I had used in a month, but guess what, that is a crazy obsessive insane idea, and one I should really only attempt again if I am actually going to do something with the information. Would it better if I did a spreadsheet for each month, yarn in/out, etc all on the one? Stop overthinking this, you do not need the extra stress.

Knitting monogamously is not working, as you don't always want to work on the same thing, that being said I am making progress and that is what matters.
We also need to remind ourselves to stop comparing ourselves to each other, and to stop feeling inadequate when others are finishing projects but you aren't. Don't do it!!!! Everyone has different schedules, and everyone works at a different pace, so it is okay to have different time frames to work with.

August 2018

Well there goes August. I was away for the first 2 weeks, and came back to a bit of a disaster, but then that happens doesn't it.
Why is it so much easier to start a project than to knuckle down and finish one? I have the same issue with everything, books, colouring books, reading, cross stitch. Is it the lure of something new and exciting that draws you in, tempts you with its siren song, and then you kilter off and see something else in the distance that looks better, and gives you more joy than you already have, I am  not quite sure on that one, but I am hoping to figure it out, and get some things done.
I plan on doing some monogamous knitting for a bit and seeing what I can accomplish that way, as currently progress is very slow and I am desperate to make progress. Wish me luck.

• This is a sample knit, which I am very happy with it being, as I have a due date for it September 26, 2018 it must be blocked and presented to Kim, so I plan on being off the needles by September 22, and blocked by the 24th.

July 2018

July, good bye July.

I have got 0 Medallions completed for my quilt...
I did though finish about 4 hats, yes I am still knitting hats, goodness knows why or what for, but I am, and that is okay with me. 

I have also got my butt in gear and am making progress on the last quarter of the Hue Shift in 5 colours, so with any luck the blanket itself should be finished quite soon, and then just the boarders to put on it, and a home to find it as well.
As for August, I will be away for the first 2 weeks of august, and I am debating taking knitting with me, but I am also debating cutting out loads of fabric, and focusing solely on my EPP for 2 weeks, if I get 2 medallions done great, if I get 5 done great, but it takes up much less space than knitting, but is not as travel friendly as I can knit socks in the dark, but I cannot sew EPP in the dark. This is more for plane entertainment, or I could glue on the plane, you never know. I have no idea what I want to do.
