See you later March!
I need renewed motivation for the Lestrange that is for sure. I still love it to pieces, but the sleeves have got me down.I am hoping that by finishing some larger lace items that I can pick away at this and get it over with. Strangely enough though with the lace doilies I have become a fairly monogamous knitter, which I see as a great aspect to life, or I am just enjoying them so much that I want to knit them exclusively. Who knows though.
I also signed up for a 5 week boot camp, which is very impressive and has me at the gym 3 days a week, and running 6 days out of the week. Which is far better for oneself than sitting a knitting all the time.
As for hat's I am now knitting little baby hats, they go a bit faster and I don't have to change colours for them as they are solid and solid ribbing is okay.

March:

1. Finish Lestrange by the end of the Month - This has been moved to April 
2. Burn 600 - 1000 calories 6 days a week  - I think I managed this which is amazing
3. Finish a book - Anne's House of Dreams
4. Start Cheese making photo book  - These photo books are going to be the end of me. 
5. Continue working on the 2019 yearbook of photos- So I need a better plan for this. 4 pages every Friday is not quite working...but I will get there

6. Loose 5 lbs - Okay so this did not work out, my body decided to go crazy and I think it has settled down now.

January 2019

Well goodbye January. This year I am setting down three or four things I want to accomplish that month, then set out to accomplish them.
I tried to knit a mitered square on my knitting machine this weekend, and while I think it was not a disaster, it was not a complete success either, nor was it that much more efficient than knitting one by hand, yes I got a good look, but was it perfect...eh. I could go either way. I did only test the theory using 17 stitches, so maybe I need more stitches, or more experience who knows. I think I would feel better if I had less WIP's about starting something on the knitting machine.

I watched Crazy Rich Asians this month and I have not yet read the book so I withhold any judgment on that but the characters felt one dimensional. There was a depth of character that was missing, it was quite superficial, and over rated. I enjoyed the costumes and some of the extravgances but how many people live like that? And how relatable can it be to an audience at large? Sure its fascinating to see how others live and spend their time and money but really? It's only money really and you can't take it with you but extravagant weddings, and synchronized swimmers at a party... I don't know maybe I am just to practical for this movie.

Goals of 2019

Remarkably these look similar to my 2018 goals, but I do have a few modifications, and I think I need to make my goals more specific so that I am not just floating in indecision. 

• Knit 1 project a month, preferably, finish a languishing WIP
• Hue Shift Afghan
• Lestrange Cardigan
• Illuminated Lines Blanket
• Tardis Blanket
• Circlet Cardigan
• Read 1 book a month, preferably, finish a book you started eons ago
• Finish some art projects!!!
• Make photo collages for posting on the blog, this should make them nicer, and make my blog look like I put more effort into it  
• Become the fit fabulous Amazonian you know is lying in wait in there
• Need to do weights more than just at the gym
• Build a system of what parts of the body you are working on what days, and stick to those days
• 5 excercises to do on each of those days
• 20 squats every day
• Burn 600-1000 calories every day 
• 15,000 to 25,000 steps every day
• I see the most difference in my weight when I get to 22,000 a day
• Get body fat down to 30%

December 2018

Well December, it has been a blast. I finished about 10 charity hats, and 1 pair of socks, and I accept that.
I am getting oh so very close on the hue shift afghan. I have 8 squares to go, and then I can attach the border and it will be finished and I will be oh so happy.
Other than that not much to report. It has been a fairly uneventful year, but it has come to a close. So here we go onto the next year!

October 2018

The snow is now on the ground, and as part of a promise to myself and to others I am trying to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, every night to see if that changes my life.
As a result this greatly cuts into my knitting time.....who knows really it it will change anything at all...but here we go.
That goal of sleeping 7 plus hours a night is not going well I think I am getting less now than I was before. C'est la vie. I tried. I probably should keep trying.
I was also tracking skeins of yarn in vs yarn out in a spreadsheet, and then using another spreadsheet to track projects started finished and the amount of yarn I had used in a month, but guess what, that is a crazy obsessive insane idea, and one I should really only attempt again if I am actually going to do something with the information. Would it better if I did a spreadsheet for each month, yarn in/out, etc all on the one? Stop overthinking this, you do not need the extra stress.
