What I Have Been Watching

For me knitting time means movie/TV watching time. Ergo it would follow that I have watched my fair share of programs while knitting/crafting.

Galavant:
A fun little show with an intriguing premise. I am not 100% sure it was executed in the best possible manner, but the songs are fun, and the handful of recognizable actors and actresses are a nice addition. It is watchable, and well worth watching, but I feel a good musical deserves to have the odd catchy tune that you find yourself humming in the shower or while doing some other monotonous task, they are too complicated to even hum after the fact let alone sing.
I say watch it, enjoy it, but don't leave feeling enriched, or as though you have wasted your time.

Maleficent:
I have debated on and off watching this, but never was tempted to go and watch it in the theatres. I was taken aback to find I thoroughly enjoyed it. A nice twist on a classic fairy story, and a twist I was not in any way expecting. Without giving the story away I cannot say much more. Just go watch it, and call me in the morning.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries:
I am not the first person that will jump up and go YES PLEASE I NEED A MURDER MYSTERY. I would meekly walk in the other direction if something of that sort happened in my vicinity. However, the costumes, and Miss Fisher make the experience delightful although somewhat predictable. Watch them in short bursts and then stop for a while. They do tend to have a structured formula. Something dire happens, Miss Fisher is called, then tells them to call jack, or the other way around, and then they investigate a murder, and utilize a good cop bad cop, or female cop male cop scenario that plays out to the end where by they figure out who the murderer is and that person gets put away.
I just wish they could figure out a way for our two leads to get over themselves and admit what everyone who has watched this show can see.

Look out next time when I let you know what else I am watching!
